Illinois General Assembly Special Session Scheduled for June 19
Governor Quinn has called General Assembly members back to Springfield on June 19 for a Special Session.
Members could once again take up pension reform. In anticipation, House Speaker Michael Madigan has amended SB 2404, the Senate’s pension reform legislation, replacing the bill’s original language with language from SB 1, the House pension reform bill.
The House could vote on the amended SB 2404 during Special Session. It would then need to go back to the Senate for approval before being sent to the Governor for his signature.
