Under the administrative direction of the CHRO this position is responsible for managing the recruitment, retention, and employee recognition programs for SURS. This role will be responsible for seeing through the day-to-day recruitment efforts across SURS. It will be the point of contact for hiring managers and will maintain a strong understanding of a wide range of positions. The day-to-day focus will be on filling open roles, cultivating a best-in-class experience for new hires/applicants, and developing an ongoing talent pipeline. It will also develop and manage the SURS employee retention, recognition and engagement programs.

SURS’ Member Service roles rely heavily on strong customer service, communications, critical thinking, and mathematical skills. Certain departments are more customer service-focused while others focus more on claims processing and analysis. Openings are available in multiple departments.

SURS is looking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for writing and maintaining software to help SURS accomplish its mission. They will create both standalone systems and work with systems provided by other vendors to create full solutions. They may be called upon to suggest, analyze, specify, prioritize, code, test, and support any of those systems.

The purpose of this position is to provide support services for the employees of the State Universities Retirement System by supporting and maintaining Telephone, Personal Computers and Network hardware and Software. Thereby providing an efficient and reliable system. These services include Help Desk Management, technical support, software installation and application support, hardware installation and inventory management, hardware and software trouble shooting, Internet access management, and operation support and backup.
